Havana.- Cuba will participate as a guest in the AEON Cup of rhythmic gymnastics, to be held at the Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.
Each team will be made up of two athletes in the senior category and two in the junior category, whose results will be added to the final standing.
That way, the Cuban delegation to the event, which is also promoted as the World Championships of Clubs, includes Gretel Mendoza, Brenda Leyva and 13-year-old Rosaine Santoja.
On this occasion, 23 clubs have confirmed participation, including Russia's Grazpom with Dina Averina (world champion in Pessaro, Italy, this year), Romania's Steaua Bucharest, Norway's Asker, Germany's TSV Shmaiden, Canada's Club Jusco and Azerbaijan's Ojac Sports Club.
The program of competitions will consist of ball, ring, clubs and ribbon exercises.
