Cuba's Major Airports Are Operational after Hurricane Irma
Monday, September 18, 2017

Havana.- Cuba's main international airports are preparing their facilities to maintain air connectivity in the country.

According to experts, conditions exist for the airports in Camagüey, Las Tunas and Santa Lucía to resume operations after the problems caused by Hurricane Irma are solved.

The Jose Marti International Airport in Havana, the main such facility in the country, is already operational, as well as the Juan Gualberto Gomez Airport in Varadero.

Cuba's tourism industry has air connections with several tourist destinations.

The sector's goal in 2017 is to receive 4.2 million foreign tourists, so a solid offer of air connections is needed.
