Argentinean Professional League Signs Cuban Basketball Player
Monday, September 18, 2017

Havana.- The Cuban player Yoanki Mensía will play in Argentina's Basketball Professional League, after his contract with the Gimnasia and Esgrima (Gymnastics and Fencing) club was renewed.

Mensía played in the Development League in the past season; therefore, his contract was renewed for an initial period of two years.

The Cuban player will play directly in the first division, so he will be able to improve his abilities and technical-tactical thinking.

Cuban sports officials pointed out that playing in a professional league is good for players under 20 years of age, because the Development League provides great opportunities to practice and learn.

The hiring process abroad is aimed at guaranteeing a higher level for players and an improvement in their living conditions.
