Knowledge of History Promoted in Eastern Cuba
Monday, September 11, 2017

Havana.- The Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey, in eastern Cuba, is promoting actions to increase people's knowledge about history and culture.

In that context, periodical visits were organized to sites like the Cabinet of Archeology and the Railroad Theme Park.

The city of Camagüey, founded in 1514, also organized visits to the Agramonte Park, the San Juan de Dios Square and the Carmen Cultural Complex.

All these sites are part of educational projects that involved several artists.

Every year, Camagüey hosts major events like the Symposium on the Impact of Development in Historic Cities, among others that are important to preserve one of Cuba's oldest cities.
