Monday, August 7, 2017
Riyadh.- Authorities from Saudi Arabia are evaluating the options to enlarge tourist facilities and make better use of the country's potential in that field.
In that regard, there is a project to build a tourist complex in more than 50 islands in the Red Sea, along 200 kilometers near the city of Al Wajh.
According to the schedule, the foundations of the first phase of the project will be laid in the third trimester of 2019, and there are plans to build an airport, port, roads and hotels.
Although the amount of the investment was not disclosed, experts estimate that up to 35,000 jobs will be created.
The new project is part of the Vision 2030 strategy, which is aimed at diversifying the Saudi economy and reducing its dependency on oil.
