Nature Tourism in Panama
Monday, August 7, 2017

Panama.- Panamanian tourist authorities announced the beginning of the whale-watching season, which attracts many nature lovers.

According to experts, from July to October, humpback whales travel from the South Pole to the Pacific, swimming close to Panamanian coasts.

The whales come from the south in the longest migration among mammals, traveling more than 6,000 kilometers.

The islands of Coiba, the Gulf of Chiriqui, Taboga and the archipelago of Las Perlas are the sites that attract more tourists, scientists and local residents to enjoy the show.

In Coiba, there is a research center to study the whales, and orcas, dolphins and other aquatic mammals can be seen from there as well.
