Russian Language Gains Ground in Cuba |

Havana.- The Foreign Languages Faculty at the University of Havana inaugurated the Russian Language Chair of the Pushkin Institute.
According to experts, the certification of Cuban professors began in 2016, as part of a strategy to promote Russian language teaching in the country.
The inauguration of the Russian Language Chair is an excellent opportunity for cooperation in children's and youth programs, as well as in economic and humanitarian projects, among others.
Authorities at the University of Havana pointed out that the Chair defends the teaching of the Russian language due to its importance and the strong ties of friendship between the two peoples.
That initiative is part of the traditional collaboration between the two countries, which expands its influence to several sectors of Cuban society.
