Cuban Motion Picture to Be Screened at Cannes Festival |

Havana.- The 2017 Cannes Film Festival will exhibit the restored version of the emblematic Cuban motion picture "Lucia".
The film, made by Humberto Solás, is one of 20 motion pictures chosen for the 2017 Cannes Classics section, which shows restored films that have made it into the history of international cinema.
Shot in 1068, "Lucia" consists of three episodes that take place at different times of Cuba's history. The main character in each story is a woman with that name.
The feature-length film is considered a masterpiece of Cuban cinema, along with "Memories of Underdevelopment", by Tomás Gutiérrez Alea.
Cannes Classics, one of the main sections in the festival's program, highlights restoration works to rescue the international film heritage.
