Cuba Signs Medical Agreement with El Salvador |

Havana.- Cuban and Salvadorian authorities signed an agreement on medical assistance to support the training of professionals from that Central American country.
According to the agreement, experts from the Pedro Kourí Tropical Medicine Institute (IPK) will give Master's Courses on Epidemiology to 35 Salvadorian professionals.
The initiative is funded by the Spanish Agency for Development and the Cuban experts will train their Salvadorian colleagues in clinical areas, environmental health, services and research.
For the Salvadorian government, the agreement will contribute to improving the quality of medical attention in the country.
However, Salvadorian authorities admitted that the number of epidemiologists in the country is insufficient, thus the importance of taking these kinds of actions to benefit from Cuba's experience.
