Havana to Host Meeting on Cultural Diversity |

Havana.- The Cuban capital will host the 6th International Colloquium: Cultural Diversity in the Caribbean, scheduled for late May and to be attended by several foreign and local experts.
The meeting will be held at Casa de las Américas and will bring together representatives from 16 Latin American countries.
The program will include a lecture by Ráphael Confiant, an author from Martinique (1951) who is well known for his dedication to the Creole language and culture.
In addition, Mighty Gabby, a singer of calypso and Barbadian folk music will perform at the event, and Jamaican artist Jasmine Thomas-Garvin will exhibit her artwork.
Another event will be the exhibition "De América: Ritos y Religiones" (From the Americas: Rites and Religions), which will consist of more than 50 artworks from Mexico, Curacao, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Brazil and Peru.
