Cuban Beach Volleyball Excels in World Circuit

Havana.- The Cuban duo of Nivaldo Díaz and Sergio Gonzalez reached the title in the fourth phase of the world circuit of beach volleyball, based in Langwaki (Malaysia).

The Cuban pair, fifth in the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro-2016, won in the discussion of the first place to the Austrian binomial of Schnetzer-Eglseer.

The Cubans accumulated four consecutive victories, as they imitated the pairs MacKenzie-Dentler (United States), García-Mesa (Spain) and Nolvak-Tiisaar (Latvia).

Díaz and González will travel to China, the next stop, to later compete in the stages of Switzerland and Brazil, as well as being included in the circuit of North, Central America and the Caribbean, especially the stages that Cuba will organize in Varadero,

The meeting in Langkawi was attended by 16 couples, including Austria, with two partners: the United States, Estonia, Spain, Cuba, Germany, Serbia, South Africa, the Czech Republic and Malaysia.
