Underwater Landscape Exhibition in Santiago de Cuba
Monday, April 24, 2017

Havana.- The city of Santiago de Cuba, capital of the eastern province of the same name, hosts an exhibition on underwater landscapes of the territory.

The photographic exhibition called An Immersion in History; collects images of pieces from the archaeological underwater park Naval Battle of Santiago de Cuba 1898.

The event is based in Céspedes park, where the public can appreciate the work of the photographers Vicente González Díaz and Vicente González Portuondo.

Through the graphics, interested parties access the funds of the battleships Christopher Columbus, Admiral Oquendo and Vizcaya, the destroyers Furor and Pluto, the American coal ship Merimac and the SCOW.

The proposal also includes an oil painting that collects the departure of ships from the squadron of the Spanish admiral Pascual Cervera before facing the American ships on July 3, 1898.
