Havana.- The health system of Sancti Spiritus, province of central Cuba, includes actions aimed at improving the quality of life of the population.
The territory´s plan foresees the reduction of the pre-conception reproductive risk and the decrease of the cases of pregnancies in the adolescence.
In addition, it was considered the intensification of the control of the pregnant women who enter the maternal homes, together with the integral treatment of the gestation in early ages.
Hence the importance of greater effectiveness in the work to be done in the communities, schools, mass organizations of the territory and the family itself.
Overall, these measures should have a positive impact on a lower infant mortality rate, as well as the control of risk factors in pregnancies.
