Havana.- The agricultural sector of Santiago de Cuba, province of the east of the island, successfully applies advanced technology for bean cultivation.
The modern equipment offers diverse services to 15 agricultural structures between basic units, cooperatives of the peasant sector and a state farm.
For this purpose, harvesters, tractors and wagons, integral fumigators and trawlers are available, together with irrigation systems, such as the 29 central pivot machines.
The expansion in the use of the equipment humanizes the work in the harvest, improves the efficiency and considerably reduces the cost of the collection.
This strategy concretely represents larger volumes of grain in a planted area similar to last year (500 hectares).
