Greater Scientific Potential for Cuban Sport

Havana.- The Cuban sports sector added in 2016 up to 40 new doctors in physical culture sciences, in an action that benefits the development of the activity.

Teaching directors at the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) pointed out that with this step came to 366 professionals who have this scientific degree.

In addition, 13 specialists in weightlifting and synchronized swimming were rated to reach a global figure of 627, of which 137 are in the medical field.

In addition, 108 national courses were held for 1,100 teachers, as well as conferences, workshops, clinics, panels and round tables on the island.

The preparation also included actions such as scholarships, national workshops on the history of sport and the social sciences, and the presence of specialists from well-known foreign institutions in clinics hosted by the island.
