Vietnam Strengthens Positions in Cuban Economy
Monday, December 5, 2016

Havana.- Vietnamese company Thai Binh Global Investment Corporation S.A. works to install a productive plant in Cuba, as part of the investments that it forwards in the economy of the island.

The company will begin construction of the aforementioned facilities in early 2017, located in the Mariel Special Development Zone in western Cuba.

In a first phase they will assume the production of disposable diapers, with aspirations to satisfy a third of the demand of the Cuban market.

It is within Thai Binh's plans to facilitate supply to the local market first, and then export to other sites in the Caribbean region.

The Vietnamese companies are running several investment projects linked to the construction of infrastructure for tourism, including a luxury hotel in Havana.
