Raw Materials for Construction Evaluated in Cuba
Monday, October 24, 2016

Havana.- Cuban central province of Villa Clara forward actions to locate raw materials used in the production of building materials.

In that direction highlights the location of clays for production of low carbon cement, a material jointly developed by scientists from India, Switzerland and the island.

That product, experts said, reduces the use of raw materials, maintaining the mechanical properties and reduces emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

In addition, marble reservoir Pelo Malo conditions were analyzed, located on the outskirts of Santa Clara, which was affected by misuse of explosives for extraction.

However, experts noted that although the stones have cracks, they could be tapped into smaller blocks, among other uses, for small slabs.
