Musical Legacy Protection in Eastern Cuba
Monday, October 24, 2016

Havana.- The province of Granma, in the eastern part of the island, promotes actions to protect the musical heritage in the territory.

In that direction, it began serving the Hermanas Cabrera Department of Documentation and Musical Information, with an exhibition hall related to defenders of Cuban rhythms.

The aforementioned space reflects the replica of the march La Bayamesa, which has become the National Anthem; band concerts, the eastern organ and emblematic figures.

The center is expected to provide documentation, workshops, conferences, musical events, theoretical events and specialist advice to researchers.

With this type of initiative care of the musical history of the province for future generations is favored.
