Community Culture in Cuban Eastern Region
Monday, October 17, 2016

Havana.- The community cultural project Guerilla de Teatreros, of recognized impact on the national stage, began a tour of sites linked to the independence movement on the island.

On this occasion, the actions are related to places where, in October 1868, pitched the initiators of the first Cuban war for independence and against slavery.

So far, presentations are planned in communities in the municipalities of Manzanillo, Yara, Bartolome Maso and Bayamo.

The proposal, called Singing Along Céspedes Route, also includes places like San Francisco, Las Novillas, Calambrosio, Cabagan, El Zarzal, La Sierrita de Nagua, Barranca, Canabacoa and Santa Isabel.

The program will offer songs, poems, dances and other Cuban proposals, to which the locals will add reviews of what happened at each site in October 1868.
