Cooperative Sector Increase Sales to Tourism in Cuba
Monday, September 26, 2016

Havana.- The cooperative sector works to boost sales of various items to the Cuban tourism industry as part of the strategy to ensure an adequate response to demand.

As an example, the Cooperative of Credits and Services José Martí, in the western province of Matanzas, completed the sale of 963 tons of agricultural products.

This sale was made directly to hotels like Princess del Mar, Iberostar Taino, Varadero Marina Melia, Sol Palmeras, Golden Sand, Playa Alameda, Varadero and Laguna Blau Varadero, among others.

In this process 582.9 tons of fruit, 61,4 tons of citrus, 257.3 tons of vegetables, 50 tons of root vegetables and grains were provided to these centers.

With these alternatives the entertainment industry has direct access to inputs required for its operation, without having to resort to buying abroad.
