Havana.- Camilo Cienfuegos Hospital of Sancti Spiritus, in central Cuba, is known for the application of new surgical techniques in neurosurgery.
As part of the methods, they were made in the last three years video-assisted surgeries in brain tumors and craniosynostosis.
The expert team also practiced video-assisted surgeries, tumors of the skull base, transpedicular fixation and spinal skull union.
The center has the only neurosurgical training laboratory located in Cuba within a hospital, which allows the training of residents and specialists.
These practices are reflected in a higher quality of life of the population, thanks to the priority Cuba gives to the health of the inhabitants of the archipelago.
