Cubans Airports Show Greater Passenger Flow
Monday, August 22, 2016

Havana.- Cuban airports show in the first half of 2016 an upward trend in the movement of passengers, together with the increase in air traffic.

Authorities from the Civil Aviation Institute noted that last year the increase was 18 percent, which requires investment in infrastructure.

In that sense, the island currently has a dozen international airports, which operate over 110 airlines in scheduled and charter flights.

In addition, the island has an extensive system of routes by which flies daily an average of 600 aircrafts of different companies.

In the said aircraft services qualified personnel will provide traffic control and air navigation with the necessary equipment, thus ensuring a high level of safety.
