Digital Telephony in Central Cuba |

Havana.- The province of Sancti Spiritus, in central Cuba, advances in the process of digitalization of telephone services for the benefit of the population.
According to experts, modern technology, which offers many advantages for communications, covers 98 percent of the territory, with a positive impact on fixed lines.
This type of equipment was activated in a village in the municipality of Yaguajay, to provide customers new options and double lines in the residential sector.
This investment is complemented by the placement of wires and poles plus the installation of public telephones.
The digitization process began in the province during 2003 and gradually has been extended, since there are currently only remaining the communities of Banao, November 7, Mayajigua and Venegas.
