Venezuela Appreciates Sports Cooperation with Cuba |

Havana.- Venezuelan Sports Minister, Mervin Maldonado, highlighted the support of the island for the development of the activity in their country.
In this regard, he mentioned that part of Venezuela's achievements in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro-2016, the island must feel them as theirs too.
In that sense, he referred to boxer Yoel Finol and the silver medal won by triple jumper Yulimar Rojas, linked to the work of Cuban coaches Ismael Navarro and Ivan Pedroso, respectively.
About Rojas, he noted that 68 years ago Venezuela did not have an Olympic medal in athletics.
Added to this, Maldonado acknowledged the importance of social mission Barrio Adentro Deportivo, by Cuban collaborators in the South American country.
