FedEx Runs Service Between Cuba and US
Monday, July 25, 2016

Washington.- The US logistics company Federal Express (FedEx) will start a freight service with Cuba in 2017, after receiving authorization from the Department of Transportation.

The company has the backing to operate this mode until mid-2018, with the possibility of making five weekly flights from Miami to Varadero, in Matanzas.

In the case of United Parcel Service (UPS) still it lacks a formal request in order to perform such operations with the island.

The opening of air routes, telecommunications, some imports and the post are the areas where relations between the two countries have greater improvements.

FedEx, founded in 1971, is a US airline and logistics, dedicated to freight and parcel with international coverage.
