Cuban Runner Dominates Brittany Cycling Tour

Havana.- The Cuban Arlenis Sierra, classified to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, won the 27th edition of the Cycling Tour of Brittany (France).

Sierra, bronze medalist in the championship track this year in the race by points who trains at the UCI World Centre in Switzerland, is Cuba's only route cyclist to attend the Olympiads in the Brazilian city.

In the event, she dominated the individual general classification, award points and the under-23 categories.

The Tour, with category 2.2 of the International Cycling Union (UCI), had a prologue and four stages, two of them with triumph of the Cuban rider.

This year, Sierra also won the Tour of Costa Rica, silver at the Táchira Pan-American event, in Venezuela, and was third in the Tour of San Luis, Argentina.
