Havana.- The health system in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba's central province, undertakes actions to improve hemodialysis services to the population.
In that sense, it works on the installation of a new water treatment plant, which will send the hot liquid to prevent bacterial growth.
The territory has two specialized rooms with a total of 23 artificial kidneys, most of them renewed with Frecenius 4008 machines, with greater efficiency in their operations.
In addition, recombinant erythropoietin domestic production and the introduction of Bicarbonate is used, coupled with the support of 23 experts in the Provincial Group of Nephrology.
Kidney transplants are also performed in the city of Santa Clara as part of treatment for this ailment, and from 2011 to date they have materialized 24 such interventions.
