Cuba Excels in Kazakhstan Judo Grand Prix |

Havana.- Cuba finished third at the judo Grand Prix in Almaty (Kazakhstan), with two titles and a bronze medal.
In the women, Idalis Ortiz reached the gold medal in the category of more than 78 kilograms, beating by penalties Turkish Kayra Sayit.
Meanwhile, by men, Ivan Silva dominated in the 81 kg division, while Yalennis Castillo (78) added the bronze medal with victory over Italian Assunta Geledne.
Also contributed to that place the fifth places achieved by Dayaris Mestre (48), Maricet Espinosa (63), Onix Cortés (70) and Jose Armenteros (100).
Cuba (2-0-1) with nine judokas, was only surpassed by France (3-0-2) and Georgia (2-0-2), top among the 83 participating countries, with the presence of 395 competitors.
