Cuba Facilitate Travel by Sea
Monday, May 2, 2016

Havana.- Cuban authorities issued new immigration provisions that facilitate the entry and exit of the country by sea.

According to regulations, those born in the island may enroll as passengers and crew on merchant ships and cruise ships to enter and leave the national territory.

In addition, to access as crew, residents in the country Cubans should make the appropriate arrangements through the established health organizations.

Added to this, the gradual authorization of input and output of Cubans is expected, regardless of their immigration status, as passengers and crew on recreational craft.

These measures were taken after the Carnival cruise company signed contracts with Havanatur Celimar to start operations between the US and Cuba.
