Growing Flow of Visitors to New York City

New York.- New York City received in 2015 up to 58.3 million tourists, an increase of 1.8 million visitors over the previous year.

According to preliminary data of that figure, 46 million corresponded to domestic travelers and 12.3 million to from other countries, in addition to the increase of 3.2 percent in overnight stays.

In addition, business travelers reached 12.3 million, to account for six million more than the previous year, of which 6.1 million corresponded to the business tourism and conventions.

The main source markets in the period under review were the United Kingdom and Canada, with more than one million passengers each, Brazil, with 926,000, and China with 852,000.

Authorities of the city highlighted the positive impact generated by the work of numerous tourism institutions, from restaurants to art shows.
