Improved Dental Care in Cuban Elders |

Havana.- The health system in the province of Santiago de Cuba, in the eastern portion on the country, strengthens care for the elderly for a better quality of life.
In that sense, the waiting list for prosthesis is kept at zero, with 15,939 patients in that population category who discharged during 2015.
Usually, senior people should be visited by the specialist of their corresponding health clinic, along with an annual review and evaluation to see if they require this specialized treatment.
Also, there is the oral self-exam for early detection of lesions, and hygiene campaigns aimed at young people in schools.
It is noteworthy that the territory has four dental clinics for this type of care, 36 polyclinics and services in 10 hospitals.
