Cuban Women's Cycling Seeks Olympic Qualification
Monday, February 8, 2016

Havana.- Cuban female cyclists has the option to rank the team in the tour mode for the coming edition of the Olympic Games, based in Rio de Janeiro.

The Federation of that discipline on the island indicated that there are three possibilities for runners, with more options for Arlenis Sierra and Marlies Mejías.

Sierra appears in the international ranking as the best Latin American cyclist, ranking 63rd with 137 units, followed by Mejías, who placed 74th.

The other example from Cuba -also with options to be included among the 100 who will receive the ticket to Rio de Janeiro- is Iraida Garcia, who appears located in the 102nd positions with 75 points.

That way, Cuba will participate in several of the continental races that will take place soon, which will award points for the Olympic ranking, specifically in Mexico, Venezuela, Italy and the Netherlands.
