Latin Grammy for emblematic Cuban Band |

Havana.- Cuban band Septeto Santiaguero won a Latin Grammy Award in its 2015 edition, in recognition of their work with Dominican singer José Alberto "El Canario".
The prize went to the album "Tribute to Los Compadres: No Tears Allowed”, which competed in the Best Traditional Tropical Album category.
Awarded by the Latin Recording Academy, the award recognized the effort and curatorship of a phonogram marked by the variety of genres.
In that sense, the disc is considered a tribute to one of the most important in the history of Cuban popular music duos (Los Compadres).
In the category of Best Singer-Songwriter Album, Cuban-Canadian Alex Cuba was the winner for his CD “Healer”, while Calle 13 and Silvio Rodriguez won the Latin Grammy Award with audiovisual “Ojos color sol”, in the category of Best Short Music Video.
