The center trains students from abroad and is supported by existing branches in the provinces of Camagüey, Holguín and Santiago de Cuba.

The institute has an enrolment of around 1,500 students and it has graduated more than 5,000 students in 35 years.

The agenda for the coming months includes the visit of a delegation of ISA music students to Chicago, the United States, who will play Cuban music and jazz.
