Cuba to Host Judo Grand Prix |

Havana.- The Cuban capital will host a Grand Prix judo event in January 2016 that will grant points for the international ranking.
Officials from the International Judo Federation pointed out that the tournament was already included in next year's scheduled, so it is valid to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
They added that the system to qualify the athletes for the Olympics will be aimed at taking the largest number of represented countries.
Judo is one of the sports where Cuba has made great achievements at the international level, in both men's and women's events.
Several Cuban judokas have won world and Olympic titles and have participated in traditional annual tours in Europe.
