Varadero's Dolphins Attract Tourists
Monday, August 24, 2015

Havana.- Varadero, Cuba's major coastal resort, offers the services of the dolphinarium during the summer season.

The dolphinarium receives 1,200 tourists a day who enjoy the two daily shows given by those marine animals.

Visitors also enjoy swimming with the dolphins, the possibility of interacting directly with them, even with the youngest ones, which were born less than a year ago.

Dolphinarium executives said that most visitors come from Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico and Brazil.

The dolphinarium on the Hicacos Peninsula was inaugurated more than two decades ago and has 13 dolphins, seven females and six males.
