Promising Future for Tourism in Holguín
Monday, August 24, 2015

Havana.- The prospects of the tourism industry in the eastern Cuban province of Holguín are promising in medium and long terms, with major investment plans.

On the north coast, an infrastructure has been developed consisting of 5,419 rooms, with Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands as Cuba's major tourist-sending markets.

In Guardalavaca, a 515-room hotel is under construction by Cubanacán and will be run by the Spanish company Iberostar.

In addition, there is a possibility to build a golf course and construction works include two plots of land in Pesquero Beach.

Other projects include sites like El Ramón Peninsula, which has a potential to build 19,500 rooms, golf courses, marinas and theme parks.
