Forum on Cuban Theaters in Western Cuba |

Havana.- The western Cuban province of Matanzas will host the 4th Scientific Event on Cuban Theaters from the 19th Century.
The meeting will be held at the Sauto Theater and will be attended by researchers and directors of cultural institutions, who will debate on the preservation, programs and contemporary studies on the audience.
In addition, they will exchange viewpoints on theaters built in the 20th century in small Cuban cities to draw attention in the advanced deterioration of those cultural facilities.
The event will bring together delegates from theaters in the provinces of Pinar del Río, Artemisa, La Habana, Cienfuegos, Sancti Spiritus, Holguín and Granma.
Inaugurated in 1863, the Sauto Theater, whose acoustics is similar to that of the Scalla of Milan, was designed by the Italian architect Daniel D'Allaglio.
