New Books on Santiago de Cuba |

Havana.- The eastern city of Santiago de Cuba hosted the launches of three books on the city, on the occasion of its 500th anniversary.
The new books are "Santiago Siempre Santiago", "Santiago, Cinco Siglos de Historia", by a group of authors, and "Santiago de Cuba, "Crónicas y Estampas".
The first book deals about the heroic actions that took place in Oriente, specifically in Santiago de Cuba, while the second book is the result of a research by experts from the offices of the City Historian and Curator.
The third book results from the work by 38 journalists, who wrote chronicles about emblematic places and prominent figures from the arts, history, science and culture.
A special edition of the magazine Excelencias was published to highlight the city's history, culture and traditions for tourism.
