Meeting on Ecotourism in Western Cuba
Monday, July 27, 2015

Havana.- Cuba's westernmost province, Pinar del Río, will host the 10th International Meeting on Nature Tourism TURNAT 2015 in September.

The town of Viñales, famous for the valley of the same name, will be the venue of the meeting, to be attended by more than 160 experts from several countries.

Executives from the group Cubanacán pointed out that they are putting the finishing touches on the hotels Los Jazmines, La Ermita and Rancho San Vicente to receive the foreign tour operators, travel agents and journalists who will take part in the meeting.

The event's agenda will consist of tours of places of interest like the Mural of Prehistory and Cueva del Indio (Indian's Cave), María la Gorda Beach and Cayo Levisa and Cayo Jutía.

The Viñales National Park currently commercializes 16 recreational options, including visits to the cavern system Palmarito, the longest in Cuba, and the Cavern of Santo Tomás.
