EGREM to Launch CD on Juan Almeida Bosque
Monday, July 27, 2015

Havana.- The Santiago de Cuba-based Estudios Siboney, attached to Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM), is preparing a new CD dedicated to Cuban culture.

The option consists of an album containing 13 songs that were written by the late combatant and composer Juan Almeida Bosque and recorded at the studios in Santiago de Cuba.

The CD opens with Jorge Reyes' version of "A Santiago", an instrumental that has become one of the city's most cherished songs over the past few decades.

It also includes emblematic songs performed by Beatriz Márquez (Mejor Concluir), Pacho Alonso (Sentir lo que Yo Siento and No Parece Igual), Mundito González (Devuélveme la Alegría) and Linda Mirabal (Mejor Diciembre).

Other singers in the CD are Nancy Maura (Es Soledad), Soledad Delgado (Aunque Muera de Tristeza) and Ana Ibis Blanco (Vuelve Pronto), as well as the orchestra Original de Manzanillo (Son Homenaje) and La Lupe.
