Cuban Baseball Team Invited to Caribbean Series |

Havana.- Cuba will participate as a guest in the upcoming edition of the Caribbean Series of Baseball in the Dominican Republic.
The Professional Baseball Confederation of the Caribbean agreed to invite Cuba, the defending champion of that event, held in Puerto Rico this year.
The regional confederation, which is made up of the baseball leagues of Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, decided to maintain the same competition format as in the two previous editions, according to which the best four teams qualify for the semifinals.
In addition, it expressed its intention of allowing Cuba to be an official member of the organization, so that it can soon host the competitions of the Caribbean Series.
