Cuba to Attend Colombian Dance Festival |

Havana.- The 4th International Dance Festival in Palmira, Colombia, will be attended by the Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey on behalf of Cuba.
The Cuban company will perform the shows "Así Somos" and "Así Es Mi Tierra", which will be staged at the opening of the event.
These presentations include different musical and dance exponents of Cuban culture, such as Congo, popular music, Yoruba and Abakuá.
According to experts, expressions of Afro-Cuban origin like Santeria, Yoruba, Bantú, the palo monte rule, of Carabali origin, and Abakuá are present in "Así Somos".
Meanwhile, "Así Es Mi Tierra" shows the dances from traditional folk culture, such as danzón, son, mambo, cha-cha, pilón and dengue, among other musical genres.
