Cuban Tourism Promote Nautical Sports
Monday, May 18, 2015

Havana.- Nautical sports are gaining ground in Cuba's tourism sector, where more than 1.2 million foreign vacationers have enjoyed those options over the past three years.

Executives from Grupo Empresarial Marlin noted Cuba's advantages to promote nautical sports, as 26 percent of its insular platform is under the scheme of protected marinas.

In addition, Cuba offers 500 kilometers of excellent beaches and vast areas of corals that provide excellent conditions for fishing, diving, yachting, kite surf and paragliding.

Marlin runs five international marinas, 637 berths, 39 diving zones and 900 diving spots in reefs, caverns and sunken ships, among other facilities.

In addition, experienced instructors and skippers accompany the divers or fishermen to guarantee their safety.
