Canada to Be Guest of Honor at Cuban Tourism Fair |

Havana.- The 36th International Tourism Fair (FITCuba) will have Canada as the guest of honor next year, as an acknowledgement of its condition of major tourist-sending market.
According to Cuban experts, one million Canadian tourists visited the Caribbean island last year.
Cuba's main event on tourism next year will be held in Havana, which was recently chosen among the world's seven wonder cities, and will be dedicated to promote Cuban culture.
As part of Cuba's development strategy, 53 hotels are under construction to add 5,492 rooms to the country's potential in four- and five-star establishments.
In addition, 18 international companies run a total of 35,682 rooms in Cuba, and 11,500 private houses rent rooms to tourists.
