Accor Grows in Cuban Market
Monday, May 18, 2015

Havana.- The French group Accor, one of the main hotel chains in Europe, is working to expand its presence in the Cuban market.

The company signed an agreement to run the 518-room luxury hotel Pullman Cayo Coco in Cuba.

The establishment, a property of the state-owned group Gran Caribe, will start up operations in late 2015.

Accor has been present for nearly two decades in Cuba, where it runs the hotels Mercure Sevilla La Habana (178 rooms in Old Havana) and Mercure Playa de Oro (385 rooms in Varadero).

There is another joint project with the local tourism group Gaviota to build the 218-room luxury hotel Sofitel La Habana, in the Cuban capital.
