French Company CMA-CGM Is Present in Cuba |

Havana.- The French company CMA-CGM, which specializes in maritime transportation of containers, will start up operations in the Cuban market as a result of a society with the local firm AUSA.
The French company will take part in the development of a 17-hectare logistic platform that includes 12,000 square meters of storehouses and nearly 5,000 cubic meters of cold stores.
That way, CMA-CGM will administer the recollection and distribution of goods, both imports and exports, in Cuba.
The abovementioned logistic platform will operate in the Mariel Special Development Zone, by the port of the same name in western Cuba.
The French company has been present in Cuba since 2000 and plans to install port services in the Caribbean, so it also got the concession to operate a containers' terminal in Jamaica.
