Cuban Chess Players Finish Eighth at World Cup by Teams |

Havana.- The Cuban team finished in the eighth place by countries at the World Chess Cup by Teams held in Armenia.
China, with 15 points, was the champion, followed by Ukraine (12 points), Armenia (11), Russia and the United States (10 points each), Hungary (9), Israel (8), Cuba and India (7 points each) and Egypt (1).
In general, the Cuban team's performance consisted of three victories, one draw and five defeats.
Grand Master (GM) Yumiesky Quesada was the best third-board player at the event with 5.5 points in eight games and an effectiveness rate of 68.8 percent.
GM Leinier Domínguez, Cuba's best chess player, was the third best first-board player and was undefeated.
