Peak Tourist Season Has Positive Impact on Cuba |

Havana.- Cuba's peak tourist season has had a positive impact on the domestic economy, with a steady increase in tourist arrivals.
According to preliminary statistics, the number of foreign vacationers who visited the country in the first trimester of the year increased 14 percent, a growing trend that may continue until late April.
During the Holy Week, many tourists travel to Cuba to spend their short vacations.
From January to March, Cuba's major tourist-sending markets were Canada with a 12.6-percent growth, Germany, France, United Kingdom and Italy, as well as the Unites States (29.5 percent).
This year's objective is to receive 3.2 million foreign tourists, a goal that will be possible after a 5.3-percent increase in tourist arrivals in 2014.
