Cuban Artistic Gymnasts to Compete in World Cup |

Havana.- Cuba will participate in the World Cup of artistic gymnastics, scheduled for late May in the Portuguese city of Anadia.
The Cuban delegation is made up of Manrique Larduet, Randy Lerú, Yesenia Ferrera and Marcia Videaux, who were chosen by the national commission of that sport to participate in the event.
Experts say that Manrique has the best options to win medals in the parallel bars, floor exercises and jump, although he might also become a medalist in the rings and the horizontal bar.
The objective of the women's team is to prove themselves in a high-level competition like the World Cup, with aspirations of reaching the finals.
The World Cup is part of the Cuban gymnasts' training for the Pan-American Games in July in Toronto, Canada, where they are expected to ratify Cuba's second place by countries.
